President & Chief Operating Officer
Mark Somol first joined Percussion as Chief Financial Officer, where he was responsible for leading finance and corporate development as well as helping to drive business strategy. His exemplary leadership earned him the position of President and COO in 2014. Mark is deeply passionate about building technology companies stemming from his 20 year career in both venture-funded high-growth companies and as a venture capitalist.
Prior to joining Percussion, Mark served as CFO and COO at Mzinga, a social software and analytics company, and was a Principal at NeoCarta Ventures, a $300M venture capital fund. At NeoCarta, Mark worked closely with the CEOs of portfolio companies on business strategy, raising capital, M&A transactions, and operations. After beginning his career at Oracle, he helped to grow the Oracle Financing Division from a $150M US operation to a $500M global business.
Mark holds a BS in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Revenue Officer
Jeff Gore is known for building highly successful sales teams. He is an expert in transactional B2B sales most recently growing Axceler, a leading SharePoint ISV, which was recently acquired by Metalogix, from its startup phase to $30 million in revenues over four years. In addition to building the team to over 50 sales executives, Jeff drove 16 quarters of consecutive growth and established key relationships with Microsoft and other strategic partners within the SharePoint community.
Prior to Axceler, Jeff held a number of sales executive-related roles as well as CEO at Stride & Associates within the Permanent Technology Division (now known as Motion Recruitment Partners). During his 18 year tenure, Jeff managed teams as large as 400+ employees and was responsible for building the business to $85 million in revenues. He lives in Acton, Massachusetts with his wife and three boys.
Vice President of Products
Dan is responsible for product strategy, which includes product management, product marketing, user experience and product documentation. Dan has a passion for user experience and bringing consumer web ease-of-use to enterprise software, believing that user engagement is the key to product success.
Prior to Percussion, Dan spent a dozen years in product management. As Director of Product Management for Taleo, he launched five new products to market growing revenue from zero to $25M in five years, resulting in over 1,000,000 enterprise users across multiple Fortune 100 customers. Dan is also a startup veteran having led product management at Courion and Softscape.
Dan holds a BS in American Studies from Northwestern University.
Vice President, Human Resources
Nancy has been with Percussion for over eight years overseeing global Human Resources operations. Prior to joining Percussion, Nancy was Vice President of Operations at Bond Technologies and previously held senior positions at Chase Global Fund Services and Fidelity Investments.
Nancy received her MBA from Simmons School of Management and her BA from Framingham State College.
