Mike AldenMike Alden

CEO

Mike drives Percussion's vision, strategy, an operations.  Mike is passionate about building high performing teams, scaling SaaS businesses, and creating a culture that attracts and retains top talent.  For the past decade, Mike has held CEO positions at Crescendo, ViewDo Labs, and Axceler. He began his career in software in 1997 with Percussion's London office and worked his way up to President in 2004.  Prior to Percussion, Mike worked in tech recruiting and consulting.  Mike earned a BA Business from St Michael's College in Vermont.  He lives in Andover, MA with his wife Ellen and three kids. 


Nate Chadwick - VP of Products & Services

Nate Chadwick

VP of Products & Services

Nate joined Percussion in 2010 and impacted multiple areas of the business, including Customer Success, Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales. During his tenure, Nate has successfully delivered a one million page web site, and the 30 Page web site in the same week. Nate is a Technologist that is passionate about driving Transparency and Customer Driven Development into company culture.

Prior to Percussion, Nate spent 15 years as a director, consultant, founder and co-founder at various technology start-ups in industries ranging from Biotech, Financial Services, Enterprise Middleware, Marketing, Media, New Media, Consumer Privacy, Small Business, and Education.  Nate caught the entrepreneurial bug early, founding his first technology start-up, Seagreen Technologies, when he was 23. While operating Seagreen, Nate's teams fulfilled Professional Services for many of eBusiness Technologies DynaBase CMS enterprise customers, providing valuable domain experience in his role at Percussion.            

Nate studied Computer Science at Bridgewater State College, he lives in Carver with his wife and 3 boys. 


Matthew Ernewein - VP of Technology

Matthew Ernewein

VP of Technology

Matthew oversees Architecture, SDLC, Process and Engineering at Percussion.  He has over 20 years of Experience in the Software Industry at companies ranging in size from start-up to large business. Matthew has held Senior Architect positions at Thompson Reuters, Kronos,Crescendo, and various start-ups. He enjoys building Agile teams with the hallmarks of high velocity, transparency, pragmatism, and reliability. An early adopter and Agile practitioner since 2001, he brings battle tested pragmatic process to Percussion.

Gravitating to technology at an early age; Matthew wrote his first program in Basic at age 8 and moved on to C shortly thereafter. Matthew earned his BFA and MS at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Having mixed Art and Technology as intellectual pursuits, he is deeply interested in how code and Art are analogous pursuits.

Catherine Garcia

Director, Finance and Accounting 

Catherine is the Director of Finance and Accounting where she oversees global financial, accounting, and administrative operations. Catherine’s experience in finance and accounting includes more than 10 years in the software industry and she is intensely passionate about growing small technology companies. She was a part of the founding team of Axceler, a software company that grew by 500% to $30 million in revenue in 7 years. Prior to joining Percussion in 2013, Catherine held senior financial and accounting positions at technology companies including ViewDo Labs and Axceler.

Catherine earned her MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and her BS in Business Administration from University of New Hampshire. 


Katharina Shanks Director of People Strategy

Katharina Shanks

Director, People Strategy 

Katharina is the Director of People Strategy at Percussion where she leads Percussion's culture and strategic people initiatives. She is an experienced HR professional with a passion for building a stellar culture in which employees can thrive and succeed. Before joining Percussion, Katharina worked at various small tech companies including ViewDo Labs, Axceler and Unitrends Software focusing on the entire employee lifecycle. Katharina received her BA in Finance, Economics and HR from Eastern Washington University and is bilingual in German and English.


Daniel Carter Headshot

Daniel Carter

Senior Vice President of Sales

Daniel joined the leadership team at Percussion in 2016 and is responsible for new business generation, partner relations and client retention.  
Daniel’s extensive experience in operational management and sales includes more than 10 years in the education vertical in a business development capacity, focusing on both K-12 and higher education.  Previously, he spent more than 12 years as a manager and broker within the risk and insurance industry, working closely with Fortune 500 clients for the largest publicly traded third party adjusting firm in country managing a top 5 regional operation for them worldwide in Los Angeles, CA. 
Daniel regularly presents to corporate leadership, district leadership teams and school boards nationwide.
Daniel is a graduate of Fitchburg State University, where he received degrees in both Sociology and Political Science. He has also completed coursework in law at Boston’s Northeastern University.
