Architecture - Dynamic and Decoupled
The challenge for technologists is that no single product, platform, suite or vendor can serve both the marketer and the needs of the site visitor experience. Percussion overcomes this problem by using a unique two-tier "decoupled" Web architecture called Active Delivery.
- Deliver dynamic interactive online experiences to site visitors
- Allow marketers to create and constantly change the types of possible experiences they wish to present to maximize results
- Develop and scale your online presence in any Web technology, platform or code base
- Easily plug-in or “mashup” the latest technologies incrementally in simple Web 2.0 style to keep investment in line with results
Active Delivery allows the content management server to run separately from ALL the components that deliver actual Web experience, while still enabling marketers to control the behaviors of any dynamic, interactive, and social Web features. This allows the technical team to pick and choose from an unlimited set of delivery applications to serve the customer experience on line.
The overall customer experience online can be delivered through any combination of the following delivery tier components:
- Percussion's optional Online Interaction components for out-of-the-box dynamic delivery capabilities to site visitors
- Third party delivery applications, such as Site Search, Advertising Servers, e-Commerce engines and "Mashups"
- Your own custom and existing Web applications built in any development platform, including; .Net/aspx, Java/jsp, and LAMP.
The CM Server component enables the marketers to change content and presentation rules independently of the delivery applications and services in use in the delivery tier. Once the changes are approved, they are assembled and published over into each of the separate delivery systems that need them to present experiences to site visitors.
- Edit presentation and behavioral settings to enable a dynamic customer experience online
- Preview these dynamic features, such as personalized pages, before they go live
- Stage all changes before publishing them to production Web delivery tier
