EContent Magazine Names Percussion Software to “100 Companies that Matter Most” in Digital Content Industry

Percussion Listed as a Content Management Leader for Fourth Year in a Row

WOBURN, MA – November 15, 2006 Percussion Software, a leading developer of Web Content Management (WCM) software for multi-channel, customer-centric applications, today announced that the company has been named one of the 2006 “100 companies that matter most” in the digital content industry by EContent magazine.  This is the fourth consecutive year that EContent named Percussion a leader in the Content Management category.  The leaders were selected by the editors of EContent andInformation Today, Inc., based on collaboration with the most respected editors, writers and reviewers covering the digital content market.  The EContent 100 list is available in the December print issue of EContent and online at www.econtentmag.com.

“In 2006, we looked across the digital content industry to examine how econtent continues to reach into our work and our lives, and determine what companies are making the most significant contributions to that process,” said EContent editor Michelle Manafy.  “Our goal is to be sure that those companies that continue to innovate and deliver products and services that further the evolution of digital content are included.  That’s why we name companies like Percussion Software.  In the past year, Percussion released version 6 of its Rhythmyx WCM system and sharpened its focus on delivering content for today’s challenging multi-channel, multi-site environments.”

Barry Reynolds, CEO of Percussion Software, said, “We're honored to be recognized for the fourth consecutive year by EContent Magazine.  In 2006, we’ve seen a resurgence of WCM as more organizations devote a growing share of their marketing dollars to content delivered to customers via multiple Web properties and multiple channels.  Our Rhythmyx system – which offers ease of implementation, rapid adoption and easy interoperability with existing enterprise applications – is increasingly becoming the solution of choice for organizations with complex WCM needs.  That includes Princess Cruises, Thrifty Car Rental, ING Direct and Armstrong – name-brand companies that selected Rhythmyx to develop WCM solutions to help them improve global, multi-channel brand communications.”

Now in its 12th year, Percussion Software continues to build momentum as a privately held, self-funded, profitable, and growing enterprise.  In addition to the EContent list, KMWorld (www.kmworld.com) also has named Percussion to its 2006 listing of 100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management.  This is the fourth consecutive year Percussion has been named to the KMWorld list.

As part of its ongoing dedication to developing software that adheres to industry standards, Percussion recently announced its membership in and active support of the Interoperable Enterprise Content Management (iECM) Consortium.  Percussion is playing an active role in the development of the iECM standard and has committed that Rhythmyx will support iECM standards as they become available.
