EContent Magazine Names Percussion Software to "100 Companies that Matter Most" in Digital Content Industry
Percussion Listed as a Content Management Leader for Third Year in a Row
WOBURN, MA - November 15, 2005 - Percussion Software, a leading developer of practical software solutions enabling customers to maximize the value and quality of enterprise content, today announced that the company has been named one of the 2005 "100 companies that matter most" in the digital content industry by EContent magazine. This is the third consecutive year that EContent named Percussion a leader in the Content Management category. The leaders were selected by the editors of EContent and Information Today, Inc., based on collaboration with the most respected editors, writers and reviewers covering the digital content market. The EContent 100 list is available in the December print issue of EContent and online at www.econtentmag.com.
"In 2005, we've taken a fresh look at the stand-out companies, winning strategies and solutions that define the digital content industry," said EContent editor Michelle Manafy. "The Content Management category now includes WCM, ECM, and FCM, as well as relative newcomer digital asset management. It's a broad market, and Content Management's true power may actually lie in its flexibility to address various forms of content-related business problems. That's why we've included companies like Percussion Software in the list. Their flexible Enterprise Content Management solutions help organizations develop more effective and efficient ways to work with content of all sorts, and are particularly strong for organizations rolling-out multi-site Web solutions."
Barry Reynolds, CEO of Percussion Software, said, "We're honored to be recognized for the third consecutive year by EContent Magazine. In 2005, we've moved forward with a number of initiatives. Organizations of all sizes continue to look to our Rhythmyx ECM solution, which offers the right balance between out-of-the-box functionality and customization. In the WCM space, Rhythmyx is successfully driving revenues for name-brand companies like Thrifty Car Rental and Hotwire.com, and is increasingly becoming the solution of choice for customers with complex multi-site, multi-language Web needs. In addition, we've enhanced our content integration and server administration capabilities in our Lotus Domino tools business."
Now in its 11th year, Percussion Software continues to build momentum as a privately held, self-funded, profitable, and growing enterprise. Percussion's inclusion in the 2005 EContent 100 is the most recent award in a banner year for honors, including the company's listing in the KMWorld 100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management for 2005; KMWorld's Trend-Setting Products list; and Best of Show in the Web Content Management Category at the AIIM On Demand conference, sponsored by AIIM E-DOC Magazine. Rhythmyx also won the Canadian e-Content Award for Content or Records Management Software/System, and a Lotus Advisor Editors' Choice silver award for Content Management. In addition, customer Thrifty Car Rental's multi-site THRIFTY.com Web implementation won a first place IBIC (Internet/Intranet Best in Class) Award in 2005 for its use of Rhythmyx.
