Percussion Software's Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM Named AIIM ON DEMAND 2005 "Best of Show" By AIIM E-DOC Magazine

Enhanced Capabilities for Mid-Tier WCM Deliver Quicker Web Implementation, More Functionality Out-of-the-Box, Fewer Customization Requirements

WOBURN, MA - May 25, 2005 - Percussion Software, a leading developer of practical software solutions enabling customers to maximize the value and quality of enterprise content, today announced that its Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM has won "Best of Show" in the Web Content Management Category at the AIIM On Demand conference in Philadelphia. Winners of the third annual awards, sponsored by AIIM E-DOC Magazine, were chosen by panel of distinguished industry experts who identified the best products at the show in seven software and three hardware categories.

Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM is a series of key capabilities, bundled with the company's Rhythmyx Web Content Management (WCM) solution, that speed Web implementation, by delivering more application functionality out-of-the-box and requiring less customization. Designed specifically for enterprises who want fast time-to-value but do not want to sacrifice future scalability and extensibility, Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM enables users to get their Web sites under management rapidly, and still benefit from Rhythmyx's leading multi-site, multi-channel features.

"More so than in the first two years of this award, judging was extremely competitive with Percussion ultimately winning out over stiff competition," said Bryant Duhon, editor, AIIM E-DOC Magazine. "The judges cited Rhythmyx's ease of implementation and ability to accommodate a variety of content types across customer websites. We are pleased to present the Best of Show award in Web Content Management to Percussion."

"We are honored to be chosen by AIIM E-DOC Magazine as a 'Best of Show' winner at AIIM ON DEMAND 2005," said Barry Reynolds, CEO of Percussion Software. "Our Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM capabilities were developed based on best practices from working with our customers. FastForward has been well received and demonstrates the growing recognition that the Web is, in many cases, the key channel for internal and external communications, and the foundation for an organization's entire ECM effort. By enabling mid-tier organizations to get a multi-site Web presence under management quickly, Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM yields quicker time-to-value across multiple Web-based channels."

Rhythmyx FastForward for WCM, and Rhythmyx's many other pre-built capabilities, deliver real-time ROI, while its flexible customization capabilities allow customers to focus customization only on projects with measurable ROI, rather than on those that simply enable basic building block capabilities. FastForward for WCM includes 11 pre-built content types; out-of-the box workflows to optimize approval processes; out-of-the-box templates to speed Web page layout design; Microsoft Word support for rapid end user adoption; rich editing capabilities; Active Assembly to graphically manage related Web content; and managed navigation to support dynamic menuing, section pages, breadcrumbs and sitemaps.

Once organizations have their first Web site under management using FastForward, Rhythmyx's extensive multi-site capabilities enable seamless creation of additional Web sites. As their Web presence grows, Rhythmyx's unmatched capabilities enable content reuse across multiple Web properties, empowering non-technical site owners to create rich, engaging Web experiences for their audiences. Rhythmyx site owners can avoid "cookie-cutter" sites by using Active Assembly – a graphical user interface – to make content presentation decisions without involving IT resources.

Rhythmyx's multi-site capabilities also benefit from its De-Coupled Delivery architecture, allowing Rhythmyx to deliver managed content simultaneously to portals, Web servers, personalization servers, and application servers, without requiring an active connection to Rhythmyx. Rhythmyx's De-Coupled Delivery capability ensures superior performance, does not require proprietary CMS coding, and eliminates the WCM as a single point of failure.

Rhythmyx WCM is a part of the Rhythmyx ECM product line that manages Web and portal content, digital assets and scanned images.
