07 February 2008
London, UK

Cranfield University recently implemented Rhythmyx, Percussion Software’s Web Content Management Solution, to support the University’s requirement to manage online information and to revamp the website, providing a consistent branded image throughout the site and across the postgraduate schools.

Cranfield University is positioned between traditional universities, business and industry. The University combines the academic rigour and long term perspective of a university with the commercial and business focus of industry. To maintain this position, a strong online presence is vital.

Rhythmyx allows business users and academics to generate content without requiring technical web know how, improving efficiency throughout the University. It facilitates different levels of authorship in line with level of responsibility. Content owners can easily re-use content, allowing content to be refined as required to target different audiences, such as perspective students, businesses, alumni, research and partner institutions.

Ian Evans, Project Manager, Cranfield University stated “Cranfield University used Rhythmyx in the regeneration of its web presence resulting in a more modern site. We believe this to be the first step in a web journey that will continue to bring improvements to the University’s website using technology, multimedia and imagination as a showcase for the University and its products and services.”

Rhythmyx extends Percussion Software's leadership position in the WCM market by providing a robust platform for managing customer-centric content across multiple sites, multiple channels and multiple lines of business. Tailored for organisations that require seamless support for multiple web properties combined with easy content reuse, Rhythmyx enables enterprises to build websites with frequently updated, persuasive content that is engaging to multiple audiences.

Pete Atkinson, Managing Director of European Operations for Percussion Software said “Rhythmyx is the perfect solution for Cranfield University as it offers plenty of flexibility in creating and managing content and as the University’s online information strategy becomes further developed, Rhythmyx will continue to support it. Rhythmyx has a strong following in higher education in the UK including universities such as Cardiff University, Kingston University, Nottingham Trent University and The University of London, which further demonstrates the ability of Rhythmyx to meet the ever growing demands of higher education in the UK.”
