Account Manager - Content Management

Location: Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA

As an Account Manager within our Corporate Sales (Inside Sales) organization, you will work within a designated territory to contact, qualify, and close new and existing accounts for Percussion's products & services. This position requires excellent software solution selling skills to manage all aspects of the sales cycle, resulting in meeting or exceeding the assigned individual & team software sales quota. This is a great entry point to your career in Sales! You will interact with field sales, pre-sales technical engineers and customers across North America.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To meet and/or exceed individual software & services revenue target(s)
  • Develop sales pipeline, adding at least 4 new action items per week
  • Effectively build and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Percussion's products and services, industry trends, and competition
  • Proactive calling each day into identified prospects and install base accounts across the US to achieve revenue targets
  • Maintain current and accurate account information and contact information within customer data base (Salesforce.com)
  • Work with Sales Managers and Sales Engineers to technically qualify and advance opportunities to closure
  • Create and deliver sales presentations. Work with SE to deliver product demonstrations using web-based remote demo technology
  • Weekly forecasting - know the $ amounts, status, decision makers and next steps in closing opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Strong desire to embark in a sales career
  • Must be self driven and enjoy interacting with customers via the phone and internet
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take the initiative to get things done
  • Ideal candidate would have some experience in a software or technology environment
  • Acumen for understanding software technology associated to customers business needs
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to be flexible and self sufficient
  • Good written communication and presentation skills
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident and tenacious
